CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
OPEN
All levels. Knowledge of postures is suggested. The class consists of flowing vinyasa sequences, breath awareness, meditation, hands-on alignment, and relaxation. There are seated, standing, & inverted postures, with optional advanced variations. Eclectic music plays an integral role, with soundtracks including such artists as The Rolling Stones, Krishna Das, & The Beatles.

HARI HOUR (BUSY PEOPLE + MEDITATION) NEW!
In a Hurry, Hari in! We think the 45 minute BUSY PEOPLE class is great preparation for a profound meditation. We think you'll agree. In 60 minutes, you'll bend forward, backward, twist, balance, turn upside down, and more!
There will be a 10-minute meditation at the end of class, allowing you to connect to inner stillness, and gain a better understanding of the mechanics of the mind. Hari is "the remover" of sins and ignorance, a form of Lord Vishnu.
BUSY PEOPLE
Enjoy a fulfilling daily affordable yoga practice no matter what hours you work. Experience a hot physical practice, meditation and deep relaxation, all in 45 minutes. These yoga classes are emotionally stabilizing as well as challenging, stimulating, healthful and evolutionary!
BASIC
A comprehensive introduction to yoga. Designed for the entry level student, but of great value to the more proficient yogi. Fundamentals of breath and alignment are covered in an environment conducive to question answering and self-confidence.
BEGINNERS VINYASA
This class is designed as a slower flowing OPEN class in a vinyasa style where intention and breath link each movement in time. It's a great transition from BASICS to OPEN and gives more advanced students the opportunity to refine their asana practice with a deeper exploration.
MEDIUM
Similar to Beginner Vinyasa but with a stronger emphasis on balancing, inversions and more advance sequences. This is great class to challenge you further than Beginner Vinyasa and strengthen your being for the faster moving OPEN classes. More detailed alignment is instructed and questions during class are welcomed.
KUNDALINI
Kundalini Yoga uses movement, sound current, breath and meditation to bring a greater feeling of well-being and happiness. This powerful and effective form of Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Ph.D., Master of Kundalini Yoga, is a great way to recharge and heal your body quickly. How? By stimulating the nervous and immune systems, while improving strength and flexibility, as it centers the mind and opens the spirit.
PRENATAL
These unique & empowering Prenatal Yoga classes provide safe, simple and effective exercises designed to strengthen and relax your rapidly changing body, preparing you for a conscious childbirth. Join other pregnant womb-en as you strengthen your physical body and bring clarity and fearlessness through breathing and meditation.
BABY & ME, POSTNATAL
A postpartum class for mothers (and fathers) with babies from 6 weeks to 12 months old. A wonderful transition from the pre-natal classes, this class enables new mothers to continue their yoga practice and foster an ongoing maternal sense of community. A typical class emphasizes postures designed to realign the inner body and tone the abdominal muscles. Most importantly, these classes are a great way for new mothers to connect physically, emotionally, and spiritually with their babies as well as other moms (and dads). You can either bring your baby or come alone.
KIDS (3-10yrs) NOW ONLY $8
Kids Yoga is FUN! It paves the way for a lifetime of good health, radiance and happiness! Animal yoga postures, stories, and song will stimulate the mind and allow them to explore and express their unique physical, emotional, mental and spiritual gifts. Partner poses and group meditations give children the experience of teamwork and trust with others. Children will get acquainted with their breath and their body, and build the foundation for a bright future!
MEDITATION FREE!
Meditation is now offered three times week. Connecting to inner stillness and understanding the mechanics of the mind. Meditation is the practice of developing awareness and equanimity by experiencing the reality within, without reacting to the many sensations of the body.
KIRTAN! FREE!
These events are usually free (donation suggested)! Kirtan is the bhakti (devotion) yoga technique of call and response chanting. By chanting the various names of the divine in Sanskrit, we cut through the wall of ego and celebrate our True nature. More people in the world pracice kirtan than they do asanas. You've already heard great kirtan artists in class such as Krishna Das and Jai Uttal. You'll leave wih your consciousness elevated and your body tingling!
ICP IN-CLASS PRIVATE® (Highly Recommended)
Jivamukti was first to offer this state of the art experience in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual tuning. In the setting of an OPEN level class, you have a personal teacher guiding each movement skillfully making alignment adjustments. This is the fastest and most profound way to experience breakthroughs in your practice.
ONE-ON-ONE
The 1-on-1 session allows the student to explore specific areas of interest such as: fundamentals of yoga, how to do a specific asana, adjusting to injuries, improvement of practice, chanting, meditation, yogic philosophy, diet, and more.

MATS We have rental mats available; however, we recommended that you own one. We sell Jade Harmony mats, PVC Free and 100% Recyclable, with super traction for those who sweat and slide!
WATER Best to drink water before and after class. You are working hard to create much heat (tapas) in the body, and water will reverse the effect, and will force the energy (prana) downwards.
BOUTIQUE We have clothing, music, books, lotions, spoken word, and more to enhance your sadhana. Boutique is open around class times. |
GUIDELINES
- Please wear comfortable and breathable clothing, but not too loose.
- Both men and women must wear shirts at all times.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the class time.
- Please turn off cell phones & beepers.

- If you are late, please enter quietly and sit inside the door until the asana practice begins.
- Remove shoes upon entering.
- If you need to leave early, please do so before final relaxation begins.
- If pregnant or have an injury, please notify teacher before class.

- Please take all refuse (water bottles, tissues, etc.) with you and wipe your sweat off floor.
- There is a RECYCLE bin in the back of the center.
